Hello there, lovely dream chasers! Welcome to my comfort zone challenge. Showing you how I pushed myself to take those first few steps into the scary world of change.

Now, here I am in a new city, with a lot of drive and not a lot of places to go yet. I knew I wanted to do something creative, I knew what my strengths and weaknesses were I just didn’t know how to get to where I needed to be.
I knew three things (aka: my goals) … I wanted to work online, I wanted to be my own boss and I wanted meaningful work – in my case, I wanted to help people every day.

I also knew three other things (aka: my weaknesses) … I was horrible at marketing myself, a skill that was needed in owning your own business. I knew nothing about the online sales and business world, I had no tools for starting a business and growing a network. And in all honesty I was completely scared that I would fail and no one would see me.

I had heard of direct sales jobs before, in fact I worked for an extremely successful woman that worked for a direct sales company. So I knew there was success in it, but I also knew that I would not be an overnight success story in something like this. I knew that I would have to work my butt off and learn everything I had been telling myself I couldn’t do. It took me months of researching and talking myself in and out of doing something like this or not. When I finally stumbled upon Chloe + Isabel, the company that changed my (business) life for the better. Here is this company that was grown to empower women. A company that values education and allowing you to learn about yourself. A company that builds up women instead of causing competition! And best of all for me at the time – no sales quotas + no recruiting people. That wasn’t best for me because I thought it would allow me to work any less, it was best for me because I knew I could work at my own pace without feeling pressured.
So I sit on my bedroom floor with my boyfriend and I say all of the pros and cons out loud while I decide to join. With my biggest con being, “well, what if I fail?” And he kept saying to me, “but what if you don’t.” And the funny thing is, I am constantly asking myself what if I fail, but I know in my heart that failure is never an option. So I clicked the become a merchandiser button and began the journey as a business owner. Stay tuned to see what happened next!
